Who we are
HomeAid Caithness & Sutherland was set up to recycle furniture and other essential household items to people in need in Caithness and Sutherland.
HomeAid Caithness was founded in 1996 when its founder became aware through her work with the local Citizens Advice Bureau that there was a gap in the services available locally for people in crisis. There was nowhere for individuals or families to access essential houshold items and if, for whatever reason, they were unable to buy or borrow essentials such as beds, cookers, carpets, cooking utensils etc then they had to go without.
